7 months agoWho: Band of Skulls on the main stage In 3 or Fewer Words: Three's enough. Memorable Because: It was all about the music. The black-clad U.K. band's turn on the main stage showcased both the power and the pratfalls of being a three-piece. Nary a note was out of place, and neck-snapping songs such as "Sweet sour," "The Devil Takes Care of His Own," "Hollywood Bowl" and "Death by Diamonds and Pearls" reverberated across the slowly filling festival grounds like calls to action. 7 months agoHow big a success was "Who Shot Rock & Roll Live," the KCRW -hosted series in the park next to the Annenberg Space for Photography in Century City? Huge. Long lines, capacity crowds, exhilarating performances — including Saturday's from Raphael Saadiq and Band of Skulls . The live series was mounted in conjunction with the museum's "Who Shot Rock & Roll," which continues through Oct. 7. The exhibition features 166 prints from marquee photographers documenting some of the gret figures (and moments) in rock ’n’ roll history. There's also a short documentary made just more here
