In the past few years, Nancy Whang has become a go-to songstress for relaxed, unaffected nu-disco vibes, especially when playing the part of a summer-adorned girl in and out of love. On her DFA labelmate Shit Robot 's "Take Em Up" , she cooly reflected on the fading glimmer of a past tryst, and Holy Ghost! Gifted remixers who’ve aroused expectations on the strength of collaborations with Mayer Hawthorne, Major Lazer, Phoenix and Passion Pit, among others, Los Angeles duo Classixx aim to further impress with their first collection of original material "Hanging Gardens" (due May 14 on Innovative Leisure).
