Electro-pop diva Ke$ha sure knows how to make an entrance. A newcomer to the music scene, she made her introduction to the Top 40 this past January through rapper Flo Rida’s No. 1 pop single, “Right Round,” a song that gained attention through its infectious sampling of ’80s new-wavers Dead Or Alive’s “You Spin Me Round (Like a Record).” As the featured vocalist on the track, Ke$ha didn’t go undiscovered for long. By February, the 21-year-old Nashville native had signed a contract with RCA Records, and she is now working on her debut album, due later this year. A self-proclaimed “anti-pop” artist, Ke$ha’s work so far has proven she’s an adventurous girl with a voice that’s powerful enough to back up some surprisingly audacious lyrics.
