- Running improves your stamina and helps you control or reduce your weight. But for safety, efficiency and enjoyment, you've got to know how best to get started. In 5K Fit, you receive 45-minute workouts three days a week for nine weeks. Group treadmill workouts are led by Personal Trainer Kellie McGeoy who will teach you how to improve your current running technique or how to begin running safely. Each week will build upon what you have previously learned and includes a 5 minute warm up and 10 minute cool down and stretch. This class is intended for the beginner runner and will take you from a walk to a trot in 9 weeks flat! You may attend all three classes each week OR come once per week and receive the workout to complete on your own. For best results, you should plan to practice the workout provided three days per week (45 minutes) for 9 weeks.
