She is a powerhouse, an African oral traditional singer with an unsurpassed gift for theatrical truth-telling. Her band, Sia Amma, the Voice of Africa, is dedicated solely to playing traditional African music from Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea, and other African countries. Amma's music is also dance music with a powerful message about cultural liberation. Her music also encompasses different types of drums that resonate with the deep rhythms of the tribal music of West Africa.
