Socially relevant, yet danceable tunes make this a must-have album for your music collection." ~MySeattleNightOut.com In the spring of 2010, utilizing friends and studio musicians, Kuwaiti-American singer/songwriter Yusif co-produced a 10-track debut album of all-original material with Joe Reineke (Gil Norton, The Meices, Alien Crime Syndicate) at Orbit Audio. Recorded in the heart of downtown Seattle the album incorporates a bright and gritty guitar-based sound that is centered around lyrical introspection and politically charged rock anthems. The sound has been compared to Tom Petty with Cat Stevens vocals. With influences ranging from James Blunt to Stevie Wonder, the live show is infectiously energetic and upbeat. It's not uncommon to find audience members dancing during the show and humming a chorus on the way home. With a unique Middle Eastern perspective and background, live upcoming radio spots in the Washington area in June, the beginning of a partnership with Portland PR firm inmusicwetrust.com, and a 2012 west coast summer tour in August (WA, OR, CA, NV), the future is bright for this talented up and coming Seattle artist!
